What we use today

Instead of cookies, GameManac stores a small amount of information directly in your browser or device using a technology called local storage. This is similar to a cookie in spirit, but works a bit differently under the hood, and only GameManac can read it — it isn't shared with other sites or used to track your activity elsewhere.

Everything above is required for GameManac to function — without it, you'd need to log in again on every single visit. Because these are strictly necessary for the app to work, we don't need your consent to use them, the same way a cookie consent law wouldn't require consent for essential site functionality.

What we may add in the future

As GameManac grows, we may add analytics (to understand how the app is used and improve it) or advertising (to help support running the app for free). If we do, those technologies may use cookies or similar tracking methods that fall into these categories:

• Analytics: helps us understand which features are used and how, so we can improve the app. Typically doesn't identify you personally.
• Advertising: may be used to show ads, and could involve tracking across apps or sites depending on the ad provider.

Unlike the strictly necessary items above, analytics and advertising technologies aren't required for the app to function — so before we turn either on, we'll ask for your consent through the banner in the app, and you'll be able to decline. We'll also update this page to name the specific services involved once they're actually in use, rather than listing anything speculative here now.

Your choices

You can change your consent preference at any time from Settings in the app. Declining analytics or advertising cookies won't affect your ability to use GameManac's core features — logging, reviewing, and following other users will always work the same either way.
